Facilities Maintenance Manager

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for providing strategic leadership and guidance to the Facility Sanitation and Facility Maintenance teams through thoughtful planning of projects/assignments in order to optimize Team’s capacity and capabilities. Additionally, responsible for leading a collaborative effort in new Capital Projects planning, justification, execution and reconciliation.

Located in Henderson, Nevada, near the exciting and diverse community of Las Vegas, ProCaps Laboratories is a large and rapidly growing manufacturer with approximately 350 employees that markets several hundred dietary supplement SKUs, along with an expanding line of functional foods (bars, packets, bottles, etc.)

WHAT YOU BRING (MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS)

  • Undergraduate degree in an engineering discipline or minimum of six years related experience in Facilities Management
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Must be able to demonstrate analytical ability in identifying problems, developing solutions, and implementing a course of action
  • Excellent organizational and follow-through skills; to include the ability to multi-task
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills in order to be able to lead Facilities employees to the completion of their assigned job duties
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to relay information accurately and with professionalism
  • Working knowledge of the facilities support equipment and proper cGMPs to successfully work near/in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to lead the continuous improvement efforts in the facility maintenance and facility sanitation departments and support the company-wide behavioral expansion of continuous improvement
  • Working knowledge and ability to utilize AUTOCAD software used in capital projects planning and building/room changes
  • Safety experience to include the ability to provide proper training and provide oversight for all direct employees and contractors
  • May have to be on-call to respond to emergency situations

WHAT YOU’LL DO (OTHER ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES)

  • Work in partnership with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering departments to maintain, repair and enhance facility equipment and performance
  • Implement approved techniques for corrective and preventative facility maintenance and provide or assist with training to facility maintenance and sanitation staff
  • Ensure the landscaping and grounds keeping are maintained to the highest standard
  • Provide direct supervision to Facilities Technicians to deliver maintenance and operations services
  • Work in partnership with Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, and Quality on new equipment installations
  • Proficiently install and repair:
  • All facilities support equipment within the boundaries of training from available user manuals, corporate instruction, and personnel expertise
  • Plumbing, electrical, heating and cooling, plumbing, carpentry, painting and mechanical applications
  • Schedule and supervise repair/maintenance of the PCL buildings:
  • Hire and manage contracted service providers associated with facility maintenance and operations
  • Direct the installation and repair of facility-support machinery/equipment
  • Oversee, research, and promote facility upgrades (i.e., building additions equipment/machinery)
  • Manage all maintenance activities related to facility structure
  • Coordinate services provided by contractor and vendor support related to facility structures
  • Ensure effective use of the maintenance software system to regularly schedule and document preventative maintenance of building systems
  • Manage facilities budget and project planning tasks
  • Ensure accurate recordkeeping to document required spare parts inventory for building maintenance and repair
  • Respond to all facilities requirements in a timely, effective, and professional manner
  • Select staff, coach performance, and provide ongoing and timely communication regarding performance, training, and development opportunities
  • Monitor and evaluate utility usage for facility while designing improvements to increase efficiency and decrease the carbon footprint of the plant
  • Monitor and maintain water purification systems throughout facility
  • Monitor, diagnose and manage repair of dehumidification processes while training technicians on proper care and usage
  • Oversee the renewal of all permits pertaining to the facility ensuring that licensed contractors are utilized
  • Manage and, when possible, comparatively bid out all facilities maintenance contracts
  • Ensure that decisions made throughout facility are consistent with current LEED certification. Also take on an active role in LEED re-certification
  • Develop and maintain accurate As-Built plans for building and facilities related equipment
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned
