POSITION SUMMARY

As a Product Development Technician, you will assist in formulation and new product development activities while supporting our commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards across all products.

WHAT YOU BRING (MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS)

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Biochemistry, Organic Chemistry, or a related scientific field.
• Preferred 1-3 years of formulation experience in the nutritional supplement industry or similar field
• Minimum 1-3 years of years of experience in the nutraceutical or consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry preferred
• Strong attention to detail, excellent organization, communication,
• and technical skills. Must interact professionally and effectively with others, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to gather and analyze data, solve production issues, and prioritize tasks.
• Can handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to organize, prioritize, and seek help.
• Good understanding of how food and nutrients affect health.
• Proficient in MS Office and comfortable with computers.

WHAT YOU’LL DO (OTHER ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES)

• Quality and Improvement: Ensure high quality and continuous improvement in your role.
• Documentation Compliance: Follow all responsibilities outlined in company documentation.
• General: Maintain testing files, verify formulas, assist with approvals, create and manage test sheets, and review results with management.
• New Products: Conduct tests, set product specs, and handle taste test evaluations.
• Raw Materials: Log samples, assist in analysis, and recommend material adjustments.
• Production/Blending Help create and approve Dispensing and Blending Recipes, resolve raw material issues, and evaluate production processes.
• Product Evaluation: Analyze current products and identify improvements, staying updated on nutritional science trends.
• Formula Development: Propose and refine product formulations.
• Cleaning and Software Management: Assign cleaning codes, validate processes, and manage formula information in the software system.
• Additional Projects: Assist with various projects as assigned, ensuring proper approvals.
